Westbury-on-Trym Village Hall is situated right in the heart of Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol just 3 miles from the city centre and was built in 1869 thanks to a local benefactor called Henry St Vincent Ames.
The hall was built for the ‘promotion of recreation, social and moral improvement, including lectures, music, reading, exhibitions of art, science, industry, agriculture, horticulture and public instruction’ and is today still fulfilling its purpose.
The hall is available for various events including weddings, birthdays, retirement and engagement parties, etc..
We play host to a number of regular hirers including four Badminton Clubs, Sustainable Westbury (SUSWOT), the local Women’s Institute, the Westbury-on-Trym Society, the Village Show and exercise groups including Dancefit, Tai Chi and Zumba.
The Westbury-on-Trym Village Hall has a capacity for 120 people in total. Our bar offers a range of well-priced beers, wines and spirits served by our volunteer bar staff.
The well-equipped kitchen can cater for all types of meals and we are also able to recommend a number of local caterers.
